Completed my first homeshow!

I was finally able to submit the sales from my first two homeshows. I had to combine them together in order to do so. I am really who would have thought that this would have been so hard. I had to get $150 in sales. No one wanted to buy. They bought one thing except one person bought quite a bit. I wish I had more of her show up to all of my homeshows.

Now I am at a loss. What do I need to do next? I have tapped out all of my friends and such. I am going to a meeting this weekend to discuss the business. I may just have to cut my losses and focus on my husbands new adventure with Ameriplan. He put them as a partner. I have been working on it some.

This making money stuff is not as easy as it sounds.

Another Two Person Show

Well I had another show tonight. Two people came and of those two people was the Hostess. lol....this has to be a joke. This is not going so well. I keep looking for other opportunities to do at home in my spare time. But I am really not having much luck. I might could work as a customer service person from home but who wants to be on the phone the whole evening.

I sold two things and the hostess said that she was going to try to get some outside orders to go along with it. I am not going to make my $1000 goal to get my home show package free. I think it is about $150.00. If nothing else I have some new homewares that I can use at my home.

I will let you know if I get any other sales or bookings. I am not holding my breath. How do people do these. I really don't want to call and bug people. I don't want pressure my friends into buying a lot of stuff. I would rather pressure their friends into buying a lot of things. ...lol. But they don't come to the shows.

My new business venture

I tell you what, I had my first party last weekend. What a bust!!! I had two people show up. I invited at least thirty. On the bright side though out of the two people that came, they both ordered something.

I think I may not do very well at this. I feel bad about asking friends and neighbors to host a party or to help me out buy ordering. Most of them are hurting for money as much as I am. I guess maybe I am not a very good sales person. I put a add on Craigs list, looking for people in the area who may want to have a party to earn free home wares. I haven't had any luck.

I don't know, I don't think this is going to work out. I am trying to put my name out there for other part time opportunities. I really need something I can do part time to earn extra money. I need to get out of debt.

Working from home

I started looking for a way to make extra money. It was not easy let me tell you. I searched the internet high and low. From online tutors to customer representatives. There are so many scams out their. People trying to get your information so that they can make money off of you.

Ultimately I a chose to do direct sales with the company athome AMERICA. I have just started. This is a company that sells house wares. I am very excited. They have a great selection of products that remind me a lot of Kirklands. Everything is very much up to date. The best way to order what you want is to have a home show. Now if I can just get people to have a home show. Get people to buy the products and get more bookings.

Ummm, I am starting to think that this is harder than it looks. I got a great home studio, so that I can show the products and it came with training materials. I am looking through the materials and wondering how much time am I really going to put into this part time adventure. I am beginning to understand that I may be putting in more hours than I first realized.
